I recently purchased a 70mai dashcam which costed me approx. 18,000 to be worry less that all recordings would get saved well in high resolution. It has worked fine for couple of months now but at times it misses recording for certain section which is very annoying.
Possible issues which I checked for to troubleshoot dashcam recording issues in 70mai dashcam -
- Loose connection in the 70mai dashcam power connector - see if there is any loose connection in the 12V connector that is plugged in. At times it gets losen up which causes missed recording. Remedy is to keep on checking in between that the dashcam is recording the video.
- Corrupt memory card - See if your memory card is corrupted or not. Try plugging in your memory card in your laptop/ PC to see if some files are there. If not, maybe it is time to replace the memory card to see if the issue persists.
- Memory card not formatted - After every time you unplug memory card to copy files to your PC, try formatting the memory card when you insert it into the dashcam. This would ensure that there is no misindexed data which causes issues in the recording.
- Reset the 70mai dashcam - If the issue persists even after changing memory card and fixing loose connection, maybe reset the dashcam from the settings option.
- Claim warranty - If the issue persists even after resetting the dashcam, it's time to connect the support of 70mai or manufacturer of your dashcam to see if replacement or repair can be done. If it is out of warranty then the options are limited and maybe it's time to get a new dashcam.
